Rimfire Challenge

The Rimfire Challenge is a fun and challenging match for adults and kids (juniors) alike.

The Rimfire Challange is shot using a .22 caliber rifle. The match is timed and shot from three positions, offhand (standing without support), sitting or kneeling with a sling, prone with a bi-pod or sling depending on division.  The targets are set at 40, 60, 80 and 100 meters. Scoring is divided into divisions by rifle type, semi-auto and bolt gun.

Production

-Semi-automatic magazine fed .22 Long Rifle rifles

No bipods or bags allowed
2 point slings allowed (Hasty Slings allowed)
Target slings are not allowed
No single point slings allowed
Support hand or rifle, including magazines and pistol grips, must not touch the ground to stabilize rifle
Magazines must be loaded to 10 rounds maximum

Tactical bolt

-.22 Long Rifle Bolt Action Rifles

Bipods are allowed, must be mounted on rifle for all stages
No bags are allowed
2 point slings allowed (Hasty Slings allowed)
Target slings are not allowed
No single point slings allowed
No straight throw bolts
Magazines must be loaded to 10 rounds maximum

Match Description

At least 4 stages at matches
Current stages:
1 - standing offhand 10 shot 10 plates in 10 seconds
1 - sitting/kneeling 10 shot 10 plates in 10 seconds
1 - 20 falling plates at distances from 40-100 yards in 90 seconds
1 - 20 falling plates at distances from 40-100 yards in 60 seconds
Stages may be change from month to month
This is a no Alibi (malfunctions or misfires) match
